Writer, producer and director Phylis Geller (Smith '68) interviewed dozens of people and researched the coal industry in Appalachia to produce Coal Country, a film that examines the toll that mountaintop removal mining has had on the environment and on families whose livelihoods depend on the coal industry. Join us for a reception before the film and a Q&A with Ms. Geller afterward. For more information, visit www.coalcountrythemovie.com and coalcountry.wordpress.com/producer-bios.
