This will be a stimulating talk and discussion on Hawaii's relations with the Pacific Island states comprising the Compact of Free Association with the United States. Among issues certain to come up is free entry into Hawaii for Micronesians, Marshallese and other Pacific Islanders under the Compact--a perennial hot button, particularly with regards to public health and homelessness.
