Business Attire

Kirby joined the Marines at age eighteen and trained at Parris Island, South Carolina. After surviving the rigors of boot camp, he then transferred to Camp Lejeune for advanced infantry training. The next stop was Omaha, Nebraska and finally on to California. He served in three island campaigns during the Pacific war: Bougainville, Guam and Iwo Jima. The book is a really a lovely collection of short stories told by a real "mud marine".
