158 Auer Farm Road (Route 185)
Bloomfield, CT 06002
Please join the Amherst Association of Central Connecticut as we pick produce in the Foodshare Garden at Auer Farm. Foodshare annually distributes 12 million pounds of food to 128,000 people, including fresh fruits and vegetables each day throughout Hartford, a portion of which is grown by local farmers. The Foodshare Garden is slightly larger than half an acre and is completely organic.
Please bring water and wear sunscreen, close-toed shoes and comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. All volunteers need to be at least 5 years of age.
Our association is partnering with Foodshare in conjunction with Amherst Caring Together (ACT), a community service and engagement program for Amherst Associations, to help provide fresh produce to those in need in our community. Please join us as we unite with other national Amherst associations to make an impact in our local communities.
