The Jeffrey B. Ferguson Memorial Teaching Prize Lectures
with Marisa Parham, Professor of English, and Adam Sitze, Professor of Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought, the inaugural recipients of the prize.

The Jeffrey B. Ferguson Memorial Teaching Prize honors the memory of an accomplished scholar and beloved Amherst College professor. The prize is awarded annually to two Amherst faculty members who see teaching as an art and vocation, engage in pedagogical innovation in their courses, have a significant impact in their department or program and on the broader curriculum, help students develop foundational skills in the finest liberal arts tradition, inspire students and colleagues alike to cultivate the life of the mind, and have a lasting impact on students’ intellectual and personal development.

Beneski Museum “Tales from the Collections” Tour
Alfred Venne, Museum Educator, and student docents will take guests on a journey through some of the amazing stories behind our wonderful collection of dinosaur bones, tracks and traces and magnificent mammals. Women of Color Homecoming Brunch
Amherst College women of color alumnae and students are invited to join us for the Women of Color Brunch, organized by students and staff to celebrate our community.

The brunch will feature keynote speaker Adrienne White-Faines '82, MA, FACHE, in conversation with Ann Guo '20 and Camille Polk '21. White-Faines is a healthcare executive committed to improving health equity across populations, most recently serving as CEO of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), a national medical education accreditation and physician association representing more than 150,000 physicians and medical students in the US. White-Faines previously served as vice president and chief health officer at the American Cancer Society, Illinois Division, as a healthcare strategy consultant, and in leadership roles within prominent hospitals in Chicago and New York City.

All women of color, both cisgender and transgender, as well as our nonbinary siblings, are welcome to attend. This year's program will focus on forging connections, providing an opportunity for casual conversation and networking. Register for the brunch.
