Professor Woglom received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Yale University. He has taught at Amherst since 1978. His courses and his scholarly work reflect the underlying belief that the most important questions that economists study relate to the role of markets: when they work well and when they fail. He is the author of dozens of articles as well as the book Modern Macroeconomics, published by Scott Foresman in 1988. In addition to his interest in macroeconomics, Professor Woglom has also become interested in higher education finance, particularly among the top liberal arts colleges.
