Please join us for a conversation with two veterans of U.S. lawmaking.  Rep. Davis represented Virginia's 11th District from 1994 to 2008, including four years as Chairman of the House Government Reform Committee. Mr. Johnson served as Parliamentarian from 1994 to 2004 and has more than forty years of congressional experience as Assistant Parliamentarian, Deputy Parliamentarian, Parliamentarian and Consultant to the Parliamentarian. Join us for an inside view of U.S. congressional political workings, followed by a Q & A with the speakers.  Current developments in Congress will be discussed and placed in historical context.  Why do some things get done? Why do some topics languish in a state of limbo?  Why are congressional approval ratings at an all-time low?
