Please join fellow alumni for a hike through the trails of the Merkle Wildlife. We'll see a diverse landscape alive with Spring!

Total distance is 4.5 miles round trip.

Please Note: We'll meet at 10:15 a.m. sharp in the parking lot. Please allow enough time to arrive on-time - this is a beautiful park but can be a bit of a drive depending on where you are coming from.

Carpooling is encouraged: We will try to have several cars leaving from metro stops or central locations. If you can offer a ride, or if you would like to carpool with someone, please email wpgeffert@gmail.com.

Directions: Beltway (I-495/95) to Exit 11 at Route 4 East (Pennsylvania Avenue) toward Upper Marlboro. Continue on Route 4 to Route 301 South. Continue on Route 301 South to Croom Road (Route 382). Turn left on Croom Road. Continue on Croom Road and turn left on St. Thomas Church Road, which will turn into Fenno Road. Continue until you see sanctuary signs on your left at Merkle Road.  Map of park here.
