Computer Access on Campus
Two public computers will be available for use at the Alumni House Reception Center. Due to high demand, we ask that guests limit their use of these computers to 15 minutes at a time. For longer access, you may use one of the public computers on campus at the following locations (log on to the network with the username acguest):
- Frost Library: Lobby and A Level
- Seeley Mudd Computer Center
- Keefe Campus Center kiosks (2)
- Valentine Hall kiosks (2)
- Alumni Gym kiosk on the balcony outside Wolff Fitness Center
Printing Boarding Passes and Other Documents
If you need assistance with printing a boarding pass or confirmation email, please inquire with the staff at the Alumni House Reception Center and we can print these on-site. We are not able to print large documents for visitors, but we would be happy to direct you to a nearby copy center.
Accessing the Internet While on Campus
If you plan to use your own computer, there is wireless network access in all dorms, Alumni House, the Library, Keefe Campus Center, the Science and Music Libraries, Webster Technology Classroom, Seeley Mudd, Valentine Hall, Alumni Gym and all academic buildings. Please be aware that, due to the nature of wireless signals, you may not receive any wireless reception in some areas of certain buildings.
In order to access the wireless network, alumni must first register their computers on the Amherst network. Select the Amherst wireless network. Then open a Web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Chrome). You should automatically be taken to the NetReg page. If you are not automatically sent to the NetReg page, type netreg.amherst.edu in the address field of your browser. Once you arrive at the NetReg page, follow the instructions for visitors and guests on the right side of the page.
