General Information

REGISTRATION for Amherst Today

The registration fee for the program and meals (lunch and dinner Friday, all meals on Saturday) is $75. The early registration deadline is March 9, 2015. Registrations will be accepted after this date until the program is full. Space is limited, but we will maintain a waiting list as there are frequently last-minute cancellations. Please note that any cancellation requests submitted after March 9 will receive a partial refund of $25.

Checking in

For those of you who are able to come early on Friday, April 17, we encourage you to attend any of the classes faculty have agreed to open to visitors. A list of available classes will be posted on this site, and will be provided in your packet. In order not to disrupt the class, please plan to arrive early and introduce yourself to the professor, and then remain for the entire session.

On Friday, registration packets will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Smith House, 22 Hitchcock Road. Packets will include your nametag, the schedule, participant biographies, a list of open classes and meal tickets*. Parking passes will be available for those who need them.

*On Friday we recommend you try to arrive early (lunch is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to avoid long lines.

Getting to Amherst

All handicapped parking placards will be honored by the Amherst College Campus Police. The Town of Amherst has designated weekday Permit Parking Only areas in the campus vicinity. You may park in these spaces on Saturdays and Sundays only, and cars will be ticketed by the town if parked there at any other time. Metered parking is available along Boltwood Avenue.
