The Physician’s Assistant Today and Tomorrow published by Yale University Press in 1972 was the first policy book to be written on physician’s assistants and was supported by the Carnegie Corporation, the Commonwealth Fund, the Josiah Macy Foundation, the Foundation for Child Development, and the Rockefeller Foundation. It was written in collaboration with Yale colleague, Ann A. Bliss R.N., M.S.W. Together, they started one of the first PA Programs in the country, at Yale Medical School in 1971. This book was used by policy makers and educators throughout the country and was distributed widely by the five Foundations.
