A Conversation with Author Jonah Ansell '03, Illustrator Eric Vennemyer '04 and Producer Timothy Hahn '06
"What I love about the graphic novel is it gives you a chance to linger on the images, to slow down….to return to that place as a kid, to be in a room, reading a book, with no place to go, lingering on a page and letting your eye explore images."
Eric Vennemeyer '04 took the liberal arts approach to his twenties, moving from Los Angeles to Japan to San Francisco and trying a little bit of everything along the way. He's currently getting his MFA in film directing at UCLA's school of Theater, Film, and Television.
Timothy Hahn '06 is a Producer and Editor (or Preditor, as he likes to call himself) based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. A cum laude graduate of Amherst College where he majored in Theater & Dance, Tim is currently a Pixar Animation Studios Production Coordinator by day and a co-founding member of the award-winning production company Chinese Takeout Films by night. Chinese Takeout recently made a splash on the festival circuit with the animated short film Cadaver, written and directed by Amherst alum Jonah Ansell ('03) and featuring the voices of Christopher Lloyd, Kathy Bates, and Tavi Gevinson.
