Alumni Voulnteers

Amherst remains the extraordinary institution and community it is because of alumni who stay involved. There are many of ways you can volunteer for the College or participate in a service opportunity in your area.

Class Officers
Includes President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Reunion Chair, Web Editor and Alumni Council Representative.

Annual Fund
Nearly 1,300 alumni and parents volunteer their time to the Annual Fund each year.

Regional Programs/Events
Organize alumni activities in your geographic area.

Society of the Alumni
Officers are nominated to serve one-year terms by the Nominating Committee of the Society of the Alumni.

Career Center and Pathways Mentoring Program
Share information about your career, become a mentor for an Amherst student, host an intern, recruit Amherst students.

Center for Community Engagement
Provide educational service experiences to Amherst students.

Board of Trustees
Alumni Trustees elected by the Society of the Alumni and Term Trustees appointed by the Board each serve a six-year term.

Admission
Attend college fairs on behalf of Amherst or host Admitted Student Receptions.

Honorary Degrees
Nominate someone you know for an Honorary Degree and view past degree recipients.
