Clifford S. Burdge, Jr., of Avon, CT, and Windham, VT, husband of Joan (Livingstone) Burdge, died February 9, 2007, at the age of eighty-three at Hartford Hospital.  He was born in Derby in 1923, the only child of the late Clifford S. During WWII, he served as an officer in the US Army Air Corps.  After the war, he worked at the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company and then joined Reid and Riege law firm in Hartford in 1952.  He was a retired partner in the firm’s individual clients group and a former president of the firm.

Cliff was active with The Connecticut Institute for the Blind and The Village for Families and Children, Inc.  He was a past president and life fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, a member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations, a fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford.
