50th Reunion

In 1943, Bob Reed (Amherst '49) and I went down to Springfield, MA, to enlist in the Army in WWII. However, because Bob was one month younger, he returned to Amherst and I went to serve in the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. On my return from the war, I transferred to the University of Wisconsin, mainly because they had a special course in Journalism, in which I wanted to specialize. More biographical details are contained in the short excerpt about me in the winter edition of the Amherst magazine.

I am now semi-retired, but am very active in the Presbyterian Church, concentrating on our foreign sister church in Guatemala and traveling to visit our sister church in Chile last year. In addition, I am also a Registered Principal and own a small investment firm.
