Wenner Smith, of Newton Square, Pa., passed away on April 22, 2014, at the age of 85.
He was born in Allentown, Pa., and spent most of his life in the Keystone State. Prior to coming to Amherst, he attended Coopersberg (Pa.) High School, and after his years at Amherst, he added a bachelor of architecture degree from MIT.
This started a long career in that occupation, working with architectural firms and real estate projects. In 1969, he married Cynthia Furneaux (Simmons College ’46), who predeceased him. He leaves his brother, John S. ’41, and his sister, Patricia Smith Herrin, of Silver Spring, Md.
