In Memory

David M. Frank was born May 21, 1932, and passed away on July 9, 2014, in St. Louis, Mo. Dave had been on peritoneal dialysis and most recently hemodialysis. He was predeceased by his wife Margie, who died three years previously. David is survived by two daughters, Susan Luten, Linda Kintz and a son Steve Frank and seven grandchildren.

Dave attended St. Louis Country Day School prior to coming to Amherst. He was a member of Theta Xi fraternity. He married Margie Landau six months before graduation, and they lived in an attic department on Amity Street. After graduation, he served in the army in Germany for two years.

Dave worked his entire professional career as an executive at the Wohl Shoe Company until his retirement at 55. Margie and he lived both in the St. Louis area and in a condo in Longboat Key in Florida until Margie passed away three years ago. They went on many worldwide cruises and he also enjoyed playing golf and bridge.

Dave was a founding member of Temple Emanuel in St. Louis and also coordinated the Miriam Foundation that helped children with learning disabilities.

Married to Margie last six months of Senior year, still married to same gal 50 years later....lived in attic apartment on Amity---not many amenities, had to wash the dishes in the bathtub, as we didn't have a sink..

Spent entire career in the shoe business in St. Louis (it was than "first in shoes, first in booze, last in the American league")---still had time to have three children and now seven grandchildren.

Took early retirement at 55, so we could travel, eight worldwide

cruises, play golf, bridge, and bought a Florida condo on Longboat Key, where we have been beach bums for the last 16 years.

Both Margie and I have had some health problems this last year, but we hope and pray that our hospital days are behind us, and are looking forward to another cruise this fall, and to being at our 50th.
