Center stage
The theater and dance department builds its performance season around the senior projects of its majors. This year, in addition to Chimps, those projects include:
- BelReso Curvus, a performance piece and video installation, conceived and directed by Philip Dupont ’12
- <3 In the Age of the iPhone, a “folk musical about the perpetual loss of paradise,” with script and original songs by Forrest Hudes ’12
- Skin and Hide, created and directed by Grace Booth ’12 with set design by Kalan Rutstein ’12, which explores the classic fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast
- Going Public, a play by Elias Johansson-Miller ’12 about “the beloved and broken United States public education system”
- The Freedman’s Son, by Benjamin Colon ’12, a tragedy set in Ancient Rome
- The Event, by Ian Reichert ’12, which follows an inexperienced actor who is ill-prepared for his performance
