In 1974 David Bowie’s manager invited photographer Steve Schapiro ’55 to a private shoot with the pop star in Los Angeles. It lasted until dawn and yielded album covers for Station to Station and Low, as well as a People magazine cover. Schapiro’s new book, Bowie, collects images—most never before published—from that shoot and others that followed.
