Here is a glimpse of Amherst’s new Science Center as a work in progress in July. The building opened in September as a home for biology, chemistry, computer science, physics and astronomy, and psychology— and as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration and community-building. In addition to its 87 offices, 68 labs and 12 classrooms, it features the Moss Quantitative Center, the Keefe Science Library and a café.
