The Mead show has many works on loan from the artist, including Reconstruction with White Bird (2021).

That is the oh-so-simple question artist Liliana Porter has tackled in her work for decades. It is also the 
subject of a new 
exhibition of 
Porter’s work at the Mead Art 
Museum, as well as the focus of a spring 2022 art history course with Assistant Professor Niko Vicario. Through the lens of the Mead show, 
Vicario’s students explored Porter’s art in physical and 
virtual settings, wrestling with the difference between the real thing and the 
depiction of the thing.
