In May, visitors flocked to get a rare view of a copy of Shakespeare’s First Folio, the one-volume edition of his works published in 1623, and only reliable text for about 20 of his plays, including “Macbeth” and “The Tempest.” The Mead Art Museum was the only Massachusetts stop for the Folger Shakespeare Library’s traveling exhibit, “First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare.”
