Greenway Campus Projects

By 2018, the eastern portion of the College campus will be transformed by the addition of a 250,000 square-foot science center, four new residence halls and an expansive greenway for recreation and relaxation running the full length of that landscape. The Greenway Projects are an expression of what Amherst College believes about teaching, learning, living, and interacting as a community.

Fostering Connection

In a close community, place matters. To realize the full potential of the residential liberal arts college, we must blur the line between inside and outside the classroom, so that the entirety of the campus experience fulfills the promise of an Amherst education. The Greenway Projects will yield flexible, versatile, and engaging spaces that foster connection and enrich how we learn and interact.
