Jordan Angeli, Boston Breakers

Jordan Angeli recently finished her rookie season with the Boston Breakers of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS). A 2009 graduate of perennial powerhouse Santa Clara University, Angeli was 2009 WCC Defensive Player of the Year, as well as leading the Broncos in goals scored. In 2006, Jordan was also named All-WCC Honorable Mention. In 2005, Jordan won WCC All-Academic Honors and named to the All-WCC Second-Team. At the conclusion of her freshman season, Angeli won Santa Clara’s Rookie of the Year Award, named to the WCC All-Freshman Team, as well as the Soccer Buzz Freshman All-America Second Team. Jordan was elected captain for her Junior, Senior and 5th Year (redshirt, ACL tear) seasons.

In her rookie season with the Breakers, the 2nd round pick led all WPS rookies in goals scored (7), started in 16 of 21 games she appeared in, and was named WPS Player of the Month in July, becoming the first true rookie, one year out of college to win that honor.

In December of 2010, Jordan was invited to her first U.S. Women’s National Team camp. She was a member of the U.S. U-23 National Team and a member of the 2006 U.S. U-20 National Team, helping her team claim the 2006 FIFA World Championship.

Jordan was born in Englewood, CO. She was a McDonald’s All-American in 2004 and a member of the Colorado Rush.
