Kathy DeBoer

Kathy DeBoer is a nationally renowned speaker on the subject of gender and competitive behavior.  She served as the head volleyball coach at the University of Kentucky for nine years winning three Southeastern Conference Championships during her tenure and receiving national coach of the year honors in 1987.  She also served as an assistant coach to the U.S. Olympic Volleyball team in 1996.  Following her career as a coach, she rose to the position of Associate Senior Athletic Director at the University of Kentucky before moving out of athletics administration.  She is now the Executive Director of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
