During his eight seasons as General Manager of the Boston Bruins, Peter Chiarelli has led the team to tremendous success, including six playoff appearances and one NHL Championship, the first Stanley Cup win for the franchise in 39 years.

Chiarelli grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and played ice hockey for four seasons at Harvard University while earning a degree in economics. He then went on to earn a law degree from the University of Ottawa and practiced law for several years before transitioning into athletic management with the Ottawa Senators.

In addition to overseeing all aspects of team operations as GM of the Bruins, Peter Chiarelli also acts as the Assistant General Manager for Team Canada for the 2014 Olympic Games and is an Alternate Governor of the NHL’s Board of Governors.
