Heather Wilson, Elise Tropiano Earn ESPN the Magazine Academic Honors
June 6 - ESPN the Magazine announced its Academic All-District Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field Team selections yesterday. A pair of Amherst College student-athletes earned the prestigious honor, with junior Elise Tropiano and senior Heather Wilson each landing a spot on the District 1 Second Team for the college division. Amherst Earns Three Top-10 Finishes at NCAA Outdoor Track Championships
May 24 - Amherst College sent four student-athletes to the 2008 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which took place on J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Competition at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh kicked off Thursday, May 22 and concluded this afternoon, with the Lord Jeffs earning a trio of top-10 finishes. Full Story

Amherst Sending Four to this Weekend's NCAA Championships
May 19 - Amherst College will be sending four student-athletes to the 2008 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which are set to take place on J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Competition at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is set to kick off Thursday, May 22 at noon, with the final event beginning Saturday, May 24 at 4:55 p.m. Full Story

Amherst Earns Three Individual Victories at ECAC Championships
May 16 - The Amherst College outdoor track and field teams performed well at the ECAC Championships held at Springfield College, with the Lord Jeffs picking up three individual victories in the two-day event. Amherst returns to action next weekend for the NCAA Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Osh Kosh. Men's Results/Women's Results 

Heather Wilson Wins 10,000-meter Run to Lead Jeffs at Open New Englands
May 10 - The Amherst College outdoor track and field teams competed against schools from Division I, II and III at the Open New England Championships, but senior Heather Wilson was still able to dominate the 10,000-meter Run. The Amherst women tied for ninth place thanks in large part to Wilson, who won the 10k with a time of 35:41.28, finishing more than 52 seconds ahead the runner up from Boston College. Elise Tropiano Named NESCAC Track Performer of the Week
May 6 - Amherst College junior Elise Tropiano has been named the NESCAC Women’s Track Performer of the Week for her outstanding performances at this past weekend’s Division III New England Championship held at the United States Coast Guard Academy. Tropiano is the first member of the Lord Jeff outdoor track and field teams to earn the honor this season. Full Story

Amherst Performs Well at Division III New England Championships
May 3 - The Amherst College outdoor track and field teams placed first in six events at the 2008 Division III
New England Championships held at the United States Coast Guard Academy, as the Lord Jeff men placed 11th in a field of 26 teams and the women placed second in a field of 28. Amherst dominated the women’s distance events, finishing first in the 5k, 10k and Steeplechase events. Men's Results/Women's Results

Spring Teams Head into Busy Weekend of Championship Action
April 29 - This Saturday, the Amherst College women's tennis team will begin its march toward a second national title, while the women's lacrosse team will look to advance to the NESCAC Championship finals for the first time since 2005. Sunday's baseball matchup between Williams and Amherst has significant playoff implications, while the outdoor track and field teams will continue their preparation for nationals by competing at the Division III New England Championships. Amherst Places 10 on NESCAC Outdoor Track All-Conference Team
April 29 - Following the completion of the 2008 NESCAC Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships, the league has announced the 2008 NESCAC All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event during the championship, hosted by Hamilton College on Apr. 26, receive All-Conference recognition, with 10 members of the Amherst College teams claiming the honor this year. Track Teams Headed to Hamilton for NESCAC Championships
April 23 - The 2008 NESCAC Track & Field Championships take place this Saturday at the Walter H. Pritchard Track & Field Complex on the campus of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. Williams College has won the last seven NESCAC Women’s Track & Field titles, while the men's crown was shared for the first time in championship history by the Ephs and Tufts University last April. Lord Jeffs Host Trinity in Mid-week Event
April 22 - Amherst College hosted Trinity College in a mid-week outdoor track and field meet this afternoon, as each school's teams got in some good practice before championship season begins. The NESCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place this Saturday at Hamilton College. Full Results

Amherst Hosts Little Three Championships; Williams Claims Men's, Women's Titles
April 19 - Amherst College hosted the 2008 Outdoor Track Little Three Championships Saturday afternoon, with the Lord Jeff women placing second and the men finishing third. Williams College earned the men's title and the women's title with scores of 182 and 169, respectively. Full Results

Ballinger Wins 800-meter Run to Lead Outdoor Track at UMass Invitational
April 12 - The Amherst College outdoor track and field teams competed against tough competition at the UMass Invitational on Saturday, with first-year Kristen Ballinger picking up the Lord Jeffs' lone win with a time of 2:14.17 in the 800-meter Run. Amherst Teams Each Win Three Events at Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational
April 6 – The Amherst College outdoor track and field teams competed in the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational at Fitchburg State College on Saturday, with the Lord Jeff women placing second behind Colby College and the men finishing in fifth in a field of 18 teams. Amherst Wins Three Events at Bantam Invite to Begin Spring Season
March 29 - The Amherst College outdoor track and field teams kicked off their 2008 seasons at the Trinity College Bantam Invite, with the Lord Jeff women's team placing first in three events. First-year Kristen Ballinger won the 800-meter Run and helped Amherst win the 4x400 Relay, while junior Zandra Walton cruised to victory in the 5000-meter Run. Full Results
