Apr. 1 - Jim Plumer of Amherst College has been voted by his peers as the 2009 American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year for leading the Lord Jeffs to their first NCAA Championship. Full Story

Amherst Wins First National Title in Program History! Jeffs Defeat Elmira in Overtime, 4-3
Mar. 21 - The Amherst College women's ice hockey team earned a 4-3 overtime victory over Elmira College to claim the program's first ever NCAA title in dramatic fashion. The Lord Jeffs tied the game at 3-3 in the final minutes of regulation before finding the game-winner in the extra session, ending their remarkable season with a 24-5-0 record. Full Story

Amherst Earns 3-2 Win Over Middlebury; Jeffs to Play Elmira in National Title Game
Mar. 20 - The Amherst College women's ice hockey team earned a 3-2 win over Middlebury in the national semifinals to set up a rematch with Elmira College in Saturday's NCAA title game. The Jeffs handed Elmira a 4-3 overtime loss during the regular season. Full Story

Mar. 20 - A pair of Amherst College student-athletes earned All-America honors yesterday and will compete in national semifinal games Friday evening. While sophomore Jaci Daigneault was named to the State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team, junior Krystyn Elek earned a spot on the RBK Hockey All-America Second Team. Full Story

Mar. 8 - The Amherst College women's ice hockey team was awarded an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament, and will host defending champion Plattsburgh State in the First Round. Tarasai Karega '09; A True Impact Player
Oct. 10 - Senior Tarasai Karega overcame numerous obstacles growing up in Detroit, on her way to being named the state's Ms. Hockey as a high-school senior. She has since energized the Amherst women's hockey program, and is making an even bigger impact in the community around her. Full Story
