Amherst Places Four on IWLCA All-Regional Teams
May 27 - The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced last week the 224 members of its 2009 All-Regional Teams. Representing Amherst College in the Berkshires Region are First Team selections Amy Craig and Tyler Tory-Murphy along with Second Team honorees Mary Noonan and Kathleen Scheld. Full Story

Amy Craig Named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team
May 21 - Amherst College's Brittany Berckes, Amy Craig and Kendra Stern were each named to the ESPN the MagazineAcademic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, which was announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Lord Jeffs were three of only seven NESCAC student-athletes to earn Academic All-District honors this year. Full Story

May 6 - Amherst College earned a pair of spots on the 2009 Women's Lacrosse All-NESCAC Teams, with senior Amy Craig landing on the First Team for the second consecutive season and Tyler Tory-Murphy grabbing Second Team honors for the first time in her career. Full Story

Apr. 18 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team dropped a close decision in an upset bid against 2nd-ranked Colby College, 10-9 in overtime this afternoon. Amherst falls to 6-6 on the year, while Colby improves to 12-1. Full Story

Apr. 15 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team held a 3-1 lead at halftime over NESCAC foe Middlebury College, but suffered a 10-8 defeat on the road. Amherst falls to 6-5 on the year, and 3-4 in the conference. Full Story

Apr. 11 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team suffered a 12-5 loss at Wesleyan University to snap its 18-game winning streak over the Cardinals, which began in 1994. The Jeffs fall to 6-4 overall and 3-3 in NESCAC play. Full Story

Amherst Pulls Away for 13-6 Win Over Skidmore
Mar. 25 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team scored eight goals in the second half of a 13-6 win over Skidmore College to improve to 4-2 on the season. Kelley Trapp and Mary Noonan each had four goals and two assists to lead the Jeffs. Full Story

Lord Jeffs Edge Bowdoin in Defensive Battle, 5-4
Mar. 21 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team edged Bowdoin 5-4 this afternoon at Gooding Field in a defensive battle. Amherst goalie Lamia Harik posted a .667 save percentage in the victory while allowing only four goals. Full Story

Mar. 17 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team trailed Stevens Institute of Technology by only one goal at halftime, but the Lord Jeffs were outscored 9-0 in the second half of their 16-6 loss on the road. Full Story

Amherst Reloaded for Another NCAA Tournament Run
Feb. 23 - With a promising group of first-years and a deep core of veterans with experience in the NCAA Tournament, Amherst will be in search of its first conference title. The Lord Jeff Class of 2009 has already made a pair of appearances in the national quarterfinals, and a third is possible if Amherst can find success in the always-competitive NESCAC.
