Meg Murphy Named to NSCAA/adidas All-America Second Team
Dec. 10 - Amherst College junior Meg Murphy has been named to the 2008 NSCAA/adidas Women’s NCAA Division III All-America Second Team for leading the Lord Jeffs to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championships. Nov. 18 - This afternoon ESPN The Magazine and CoSIDA named Amherst senior women's soccer player Alanna Darling to the Academic All-America Third Team. Darling is the only NESCAC women's soccer player to make one of the squads, and is the third player in program history to earn the honor. Full Story

Women's Soccer Uses Hirsch's Hat Trick to Defeat Springfield 3-0 in NCAA Second Round

Oct. 1 - The Amherst College women's soccer team upset 16th-ranked Wheaton College on the road, 2-1, to increase its unbeaten streak to five games. Junior Kathy Nolan netted the game-winner with less than seven minutes to play after she picked up an assist on the game-tying goal. Full Story

Sept. 15 - Amherst College junior Meg Murphy was named the NESCAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week today for leading the Lord Jeffs to a 4-1 victory over Middlebury College this past weekend. Sept. 7 - The Amherst College women's soccer team opened its 2008 season against some of the toughest competition in Division III, as the Lord Jeffs suffered a 5-1 loss to No. 3 The College of New Jersey. Women's Soccer Heads to Europe for Experience of Lifetime
August 6 - The Amherst College women’s soccer team is still one month away from its first official game of 2008, but the Lord Jeffs will look to set the tone for the season when they arrive overseas for more than a week of culture, competition and the experience of a lifetime. Amherst departs from Logan Airport Wednesday, Aug. 6 to spend four days in Monaco and four more in Spain, and will return to the states Friday, Aug. 15. Full Story
