NGCA, CSCAA Name 14 Lord Jeffs Academic All-Americans
July 7 - The National Golf Coaches Association and the College Swim Coaches Association of America named 14 Amherst College student-athletes to their Academic All-America teams last week. For each award, athletes must maintain a GPA of at least 3.50. Full Story

Kai Robinson Named to Prestigious Academic All-America Team
June 9 - Amherst College diver Kai Robinson has been named to the 2009 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Men’s At-Large Second Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Robinson is only the 17th Amherst student-athlete to be named to an Academic All-America Team, an honor that has been bestowed since 1952. Full Story

Kendra Stern Named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team
May 21 - Amherst College's Brittany Berckes, Amy Craig and Kendra Stern were each named to the ESPN the MagazineAcademic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, which was announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Lord Jeffs were three of only seven NESCAC student-athletes to earn Academic All-District honors this year. Full Story

May 21 - Amherst College senior diver Kai Robinson and senior ice hockey standout Jeff Landers were named to the ESPN the MagazineAcademic All-District Men’s At-Large First Team, which was announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Amherst Teams Each Place Fifth at 2009 NCAA Championships; Lord Jeff Men Earn Best Finish in Program History
Mar. 21 - The Amherst College men's and women's swimming and diving teams each placed fifth at the 2009 NCAA Division III Championships, with the Lord Jeff men earning the best finish at nationals in program history. Sophomore Kendra Stern won two individual titles on the weekend, with sophomore Alex Fraser adding a third win for Amherst. Full Story

Relay Teams Lead Amherst at Day Three of NCAA Championships
Mar. 20 - Amherst College was led by a pair of top-10 finishes in the 800-yard freestyle relay races on day three of the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. The four-day championship event hosted by Macalester College at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center concludes on Saturday. Full Story

NCAA Men's and Women's Championships Set to Begin Wednesday
Mar. 16 - Amherst College is sending 20 student-athletes to the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held at the University of Minnesota’s Aquatic Center in Minneapolis. Hosted by Macalester College, the national championships are set to begin Wednesday, Mar. 18 and conclude Saturday, Mar. 21. Full Story

Men's Swimming and Diving All-NESCAC Team Announced
Mar. 3 - The NESCAC announced today the members of the 2008-09 Men’s Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team, with the top three finishers in each event at the 2009 NESCAC Championship receiving All-Conference recognition. Eleven Amherst College student-athletes earned the honor, as the Lord Jeffs finished third at this past weekend’s championship meet. Full Story

Jan. 26 - Amherst College sophomore Kendra Stern was named the NESCAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Co-Performer of the Week for setting three pool records during a 149-92 win over Union College this past weekend. Full Story

Christian Witzke Named NESCAC Performer of the Week
Jan. 12 - Amherst College senior Christian Witzke has been named the NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week for leading the Lord Jeffs to their first victory over archrival Williams College since 2004. Full Story

Men's Swimming and Diving Earns 133-108 Win at Williams
Jan. 10 - The Amherst College men's swimming and diving team defeated archrival Williams College, 133-108, to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Jeffs dominated the freestyle portion of the meet, finishing one-two in the 50-, 100-, 200- and 500-yard events. Full Results

Women's Swimming Falls at Williams 194-104 for First Loss of Season
Jan. 10 - The Amherst College women's swimming and diving team suffered its first loss of the 2008-09 season this afternoon at NESCAC and Little Three archrival Williams College, falling 194-10. The loss also marks the Jeffs' first defeat since the 2005-06 season, as Amherst had posted a perfect 8-0 dual meet record in each of the last two seasons. Full Results

Nov. 22 - The Amherst College men's and women's swimming and diving teams each picked up wins over Colby College this afternoon to start the season. Amherst Women Look to Build on Record-Breaking 2007-08 Season
Nov. 11 - The Lord Jeff women's swimming and diving team finished last season as the runner-up at the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row, winning five individual and three relay titles at nationals. With a deep senior class and the return of several national champions, a third consecutive top-five finish at the NCAA Championships is not out of the question for the Lord Jeffs. Amherst Men Primed for Breakout Season in 2008-09
Nov. 11 - The Amherst College men's swimming and diving team finished 10th at last season's NCAA Championships and third at the NESCAC Championships. Amherst to Participate in "Hour of Power" to Support Cancer Research
Nov. 4 - On Thursday Nov. 6, the Amherst College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will join more than 90 colleges, high schools and club teams across the nation in the Third Annual “Hour of Power” Relay for cancer research. Full Story
