Mike Rejniak, Assistant Coach
Mike Rejniak returns to the Amherst College coaching staff for a third season as a full-time assistant. His main duties include recruit coordinating, scouting, and player development. Rejniak has played an integral role in having nine Amherst seniors in the past two seasons go on to play professionally basketball in Europe and the United States. He has had eleven former players—including four All-Americans—move on to play professionally after they have graduated.
Prior to Amherst, Rejniak spent one year coaching at nearby Plymouth State University and was a graduate assistant at The College of New Jersey for two seasons. During his tenure at TCNJ, Rejniak was part of a staff that received a “Coaching Staff of The Year” honor in 2006 and coached in the New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Star Game. While attending TCNJ, Rejniak received a master’s degree in athletic administration.
Rejniak is a product of Southampton, Mass., and attended Hampshire Regional High School before playing basketball and studying at Springfield College. While playing for the Pride, Rejniak graduated cum laude with a degree in physical education. Over the summer he has worked the summer camp circuit for such elite basketball camps as Bulldog Elite Camp at Yale University, The Basketball Academy at Harvard, Hoop Mountain Basketball Camp, Five-Star Basketball Camp, and Hoop Group Elite Camp.
