Director: David Hixon
A veteran of many years of summer camps as both coach and player, New England Basketball Hall of Fame honoree David Hixon feels that WMBC gives young players the instruction and experience that is necessary for their development.
Hixon is currently in his 33rd year as head basketball coach at Amherst College. In his first season (1977-78), Hixon was the youngest college varsity head coach in the country. As a player, he captained the Amherst Lord Jeffs during the 1974-75 campaign. Hixon's teams have won more than 600 games and have earned 22 postseason invitations, claiming the 2007 NCAA Division III National Championship with a 30-2 record. (See full bio)
