Healey Named NFHCA Third Team All-American
Nov. 25 - Amherst College senior Tierney Healey was named an NFHCA All-American yesterday for her play during Amherst's 2009 season. Healey has been the leader for the Lord Jeff defense for four years and will be missed after her graduation in May. Full Story

NESCAC All-Academic, All-Sportsmanship Teams Announced
Nov. 20 - The NESCAC announced the members of its Fall All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship Teams, with 42 Amherst student-athletes earning All-Academic honors for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.35. Full Story

Healey and Dudzik Earn NFHCA All-Region Honors
Nov. 17 - Amherst College senior defender Tierney Healey and sophomore midfielder Carly Dudzik were each named to the NFHCA All-New England West Regional teams yesterday. Both Healey and Dudzik earned All-NESCAC Honors last week as well. Full Story

Amherst Earns 3-0 Win Over Husson in NCAA First Round
Nov. 11 - The Amherst College field hockey team earned a 3-0 win over Husson University in the opening round of the NCAA Field Hockey Championship. The Lord Jeffs will take on Skidmore College Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tufts. Full Story

Nov. 11 - The NESCAC announced today the members of its 2009 Field Hockey All-Conference Teams, with senior tri-captain Tierney Healey and sophomore Carly Dudzik  representing Amherst College by earning spots on the First Team. Full Story

Amherst Earns NCAA Bid; Will Host Husson Wednesday
Nov. 9 - The Amherst College field hockey team received an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament late last night. The Lord Jeffs will play host to Husson University Wednesday night at 6  p.m. on Gooding Field in the opening round. Full Story

Jeffs Upset by Bowdoin in NESCAC Quarterfinals, 3-0
Nov. 1 - The third-seeded Amherst College field hockey team was upset by No. 6 Bowdoin College 3-0 this afternoon in the 2009 NESCAC Championship quarterfinal round. Amherst now sits at 11-4 on the year, and will have to wait and hope for an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament. Full Story

Sept. 9 - The Amherst field hockey team achieved a national ranking last year thanks to six straight victories to close out the regular season, but the Jeffs were upset in the NESCAC quarterfinals by Trinity College.
