Amherst Men's Lacrosse Places Six on NESCAC All-Academic, All-Sportsmanship Teams
June 2 - The NESCAC has announced its Spring All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams for each sport sponsored by the conference. In addition to its eight All-Sportsmanship honorees, Amherst College placed a conference-high 67 student-athletes on the All-Academic squad. Full Story

Tom Carmean to Step Down as Amherst Head Coach
June 1 - Amherst College announced today that head men’s lacrosse and women's squash coach Tom Carmean will resign his position to become head coach of the Guilford College men’s lacrosse program. Carmean led the Lord Jeff men's lacrosse team for 11 years and the women's squash program for the past six. Full Story

May 25 - The USILA named Amherst College sophomore midfielder Evan Redwood to its 2010 All-America ranks this afternoon, tabbing the Lord Jeff standout for Honorable Mention honors. Full Story

May 18 - Amherst College sophomore midfielders Evan Redwood and Alex Fox were named to the First and Second Teams, respectively, for both All-NESCAC and NEILA All-New England this afternoon. Full Story

Amherst Closes Season with 15-12 Loss to Middlebury
May 2 - The Amherst College men's lacrosse team had its season come to a close with a 15-12 loss to Middlebury College in the opening round of the NESCAC Championship. The Lord Jeffs, who earned the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, finish the year with a 7-7 record. Full Story

Cherney's OT Goal Completes Amherst's Comeback at Trinity
Apr. 30 - The Amherst men's lacrosse team fell into an early 5-0 hole but stormed back to defeat Trinity College in overtime of the regular season finale, 11-10. Cole Cherney '12 netted the game winner to give the Jeffs hosting rights in Sunday's NESCAC Championship quarterfinal round. Full Story

Apr. 29 - Amherst College tri-captain Thomas McDonnell has been one of the leaders for the men's lacrosse team for nearly his entire four-year career wearing the purple and white, and it has never been more evident than in the final weeks of his senior season. Full Story

Spring Teams' Playoff Fates to be Determined This Weekend
Apr. 29 - While Amherst's baseball and softball teams are still fighting for their playoff lives, the lacrosse teams will wrap up the regular season Friday and begin conference tournaments Sunday. Mar. 20 - The Amherst College men's lacrosse team fell to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play with a 10-8 loss to Connecticut College Saturday afternoon. The Jeffs will look to pick up their first win Tuesday at Mount Ida. Full Story

Oct. 1 - An internship at a law firm, a summer job near the beach, staying on campus to do research with a faculty member; these are traditional ways Amherst College students spend their summers. Alex Fox ’12 decided to spend his first summer of college away from home,  joining three Yale lacrosse players on a journey to a remote area of British Columbia to play in one of the most violent sports leagues in the world.
