Amherst Women's Lacrosse Places Four on NESCAC All-Academic, All-Sportsmanship Teams
June 2 - The NESCAC has announced its Spring All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams for each sport sponsored by the conference. In addition to its eight All-Sportsmanship honorees, Amherst College placed a conference-high 67 student-athletes on the All-Academic squad. Full Story

May 27 - Amherst College sophomore Meredith LaRose has been named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America Third Team, the organization announced yesterday. Full Story

Four Lord Jeffs Earn IWLCA All-Region Honors
May 21 - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association named four Amherst College Lord Jeffs to its 2010 All-Region Teams this afternoon. Amherst's Kathleen Scheld, Meredith LaRose, Hannah Walker and Kelley Trapp each received honors in the Berkshire Region. Full Story

Jeffs End Season with 8-7 Overtime Loss to Colby
May 8 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team had its run at a first-ever NESCAC title come to an end with an 8-7 loss to Colby College in overtime of the conference semifinals. The 13th-ranked Lord Jeffs end the season with a 11-5 overall record, and were not selected for the  NCAA Tournament. Full Story

May 5 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team will head to Trinity College this weekend in search of its first NESCAC title. May 3 - Amherst College sophomore Allie Horwitz has been named the NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, the conference announced today. May 2 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team earned an 11-9 win over Tufts University Sunday afternoon in the NESCAC Championship quarterfinal round. The fourth-seeded Lord Jeffs will travel to Trinity College to take on third-seeded Colby next weekend in the semifinals. Full Story

Apr. 17 - The 20th-ranked Amherst College women's lacrosse team suffered a 9-4 loss at ninth-ranked Colby College. Four players scored an unassisted goal for the Lord Jeffs, who drop to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the conference. Full Story

Amherst Defeats Middlebury for First Time Since 2003
Apr. 15 - The Amherst women's lacrosse team's 8-5 win over 11th-ranked Middlebury marked the program's first victory against the Panthers since 2003, moving the Jeffs into a four-way tie for second place in the NESCAC. Full Story

Apr. 3 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team improved to 5-3 on the year, and 3-1 in the NESCAC after holding off Bates College for an 8-7 home victory this afternoon. Full Story

Mar. 30 - The Amherst College women's lacrosse team opened up a 6-1 lead against Springfield College this evening, and held off a late charge from the Pride for an 8-6 road win. The Lord Jeffs improved to 4-2 on the year with the win. Full Story

Amherst Falls at Bowdoin, 11-3, for First Conference Loss
Mar. 27 - The Amherst women's lacrosse team was handed an 11-3 loss at Bowdoin to mark the Jeffs' first conference setback of the season. Amherst trailed by only one goal at halftime but could not keep pace with the Bears. Full Story

Lord Jeffs Fall to Messiah 11-6 for First Loss of 2010
Mar. 18 - The 14th-ranked Amherst College women's lacrosse team suffered an 11-6 loss at the hands of Messiah College for the team's first loss of 2010. With the defeat, Amherst will return from it's spring break trip to Florida with a 2-1 overall record. Full Story
