Head Coach Sue Everden

Sue Everden returns for her 11th season as head coach of the Amherst softball team. The 1999 and 2000 NESCAC Coach of the Year, Everden guided the Amherst softball team to four consecutive postseason appearances from 1999 to 2002. In her first two seasons as head coach, Everden led the Jeffs to a combined 45-17-1 record, and has racked up 167 wins in her 10 years. The 2009 Amherst squad finished with a 19-8 record, marking the program's highest win total since 2001 and its best winning percentage since 2000.

In her 10 years with the softball program, Everden has coached a pair of NESCAC Rookie of the Year honorees (2001, 2009), one NESCAC Pitcher of the Year (2001) and a Conference Player of the Year (2000). Her players have also combined for seven CoSIDA Academic All-District awards and several All-Region selections. Everden also coaches the Lord Jeff volleyball team in the fall.

Everden will once again be joined by assistant coach Maggie Feix, also welcoming Sara Schoenhoft to the staff.
