Brittany Berckes '10 Named to Prestigious Academic All-America Third Team
June 10 - Amherst College's Kirsten Dier '10, Kendra Stern '11 and Brittany Berckes '10 were named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Team, CoSIDA announced today. Of this year’s 45 College Division honorees, only the three Lord Jeffs hail from the NESCAC. Full Story

Amherst Women's Tennis Places 11 on NESCAC All-Academic, All-Sportsmanship Teams
June 2 - The NESCAC has announced its Spring All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic Teams for each sport sponsored by the conference. In addition to its eight All-Sportsmanship honorees, Amherst College placed a conference-high 67 student-athletes on the All-Academic squad. Full Story

Lord Jeffs Eliminated from NCAA Individual Championships
May 29 - The 2010 spring sports season came to a close for Amherst College when three Lord Jeff tennis standouts were eliminated from the NCAA Individual Championships this afternoon. May 28 - Members of both the Amherst College men's and women's teams played on today as the National Doubles and Singles Tournaments kicked off at Oberlin College and Mary Washington University. Lord Jeffs Topple Chicago 5-2 in NCAA Consolation Match
May 27 - The top-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team took its spot as one of only two NCAA Tournament teams that will finish the year with a win, taking a 5-2 result over the University of Chicago this morning in the 2010 Consolation Match. Amherst Headed Back to National Semifinals with 5-0 Win Over CMU
May 25 - The top-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team is headed back to the National Semifinals for the third time in four years after defeating Carnegie Mellon University 5-0 this morning. Amherst will face either Emory or Denison tomorrow at 9 a.m. Full Story

Brittany Berckes '10 Named to Academic All-District First Team
May 20 - Amherst College accomplished an impressive feat today when Tad Homchick '10, Kirsten Dier '10, Brittany Berckes '10 and Kendra Stern '11 were named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team, making each Lord Jeff eligible for Academic All-America status. Full Story

Amherst to Continue Run at Program's Second NCAA Title
May 19 - The Amherst College women’s tennis team will head to the University of Mary Washington for the remainder of the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships. The team tournament will resume Tuesday, May 25, with the individual tournaments set to begin Friday, May 28. Full Story

Women's Tennis Headed to 9th National Quarterfinal in 10 Years
May 16 - The top-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team is headed to the National Quarterfinals for the ninth time in 10 years after  closing out a 5-1 win over Middlebury College this afternoon. Mar. 18 - The top-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team fell to Concordia 8-1 this afternoon, but after facing an NAIA opponent remains undefeated within Division III. The Lord Jeffs will take on Chapman tomorrow afternoon to wrap up their final game in California.

Mar. 15 - The top-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team dropped just a single doubles match en route to an 8-1 win over Pomona-Pitzer College. The Lord Jeffs improved to 3-0 this year, and 2-0 this spring. Match details will be posted alongside Sewanee results tomorrow.

Oct. 3 - The second-ranked Amherst College women's tennis team picked up a convincing 6-3 win over top-ranked and defending national champion Williams College. Amherst and Williams sat tied 3-3 midway through singles play, before Amherst rolled of three straight wins in the re-match of the 2009 National Championship match. Full Story

Sept. 9 - The Amherst College women's tennis team ended the 2008-09 season ranked second in the nation after falling to archrival Williams in the NCAA Division III National Championship bout. While the Ephs graduated two senior leaders this spring, Amherst returns its entire singles lineup and five of six doubles regulars for another shot at the national title. Full Story
