Amherst Student-Athletes to Host Kids' Night Out

AMHERST, MA – The Amherst College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be sponsoring Kids’ Night Out this Saturday, Feb. 11, allowing children in grades K-5 to participate in fun sports clinics and other activities that involve sportsmanship and creativity.

Registration for Kids’ Night Out will begin Saturday at 5:15 p.m. in the Friends Room. Amherst College student-athletes will then host clinics beginning at 5:45 p.m. Children will take part in soccer, baseball and relay races, also making posters for Saturday night’s men’s ice hockey game between Amherst and Tufts.

Pizza and refreshments will be served following the clinics. Everyone will then be invited to attend the Amherst-Tufts men’s hockey game, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. The cost of attending Kids’ Night Out is $25, with proceeds going to Easter Seals for autism research.
