Lord Jeffs Place Fourth at UMass

AMHERST, Mass. - The Amherst College men’s cross country team opened its season with a fourth-place showing at the UMass Minuteman Invitational.
The host Minutemen took home top honors, followed by Stonehill, UConn and Amherst (85).
Greg Turissini ’15 led all Jeff harriers, placing seventh with a time of 24:38. KC Fussell ’15 and Gus Greenstein ’14 came in 17th (25:03) and 18th (25:04), respectively.
Adron Pitmon ’13 also factored into the scoring as the fourth Amherst runner to cross the tape, finishing 24th overall with a time of 25:20. Pitmon was followed closely by teammate Alvaro Morales ’14 (25:22).
The Lord Jeffs return to action Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Wesleyan Invitational.
