Fussell Paces Jeffs at NEICAAA Championships

FussellBOSTON, Mass. – KC Fussell ’15 paced the Amherst men’s cross country team on Saturday as the Jeffs finished 21st overall and sixth among Division III schools at the NEICAAA Championships with 556 points.

Fussell took 60th in the 279-person field with a time of 25:43. Claiming second on the team and finishing shortly after was Dan Crowley ’16. The sophomore placed 68th overall with a mark of 25:45.

Rounding out the top-five performances for Amherst were Charlie Reighard ’14, Alvaro Morales ’14, and Jeff Seelaus ’16. Reighard finished in 26:19 followed by Morales and Seelaus seconds later at 26:36 and 26:40 respectively.

Central Connecticut State won the event with 74 points followed by Northeastern at 120 and Dartmouth in third with 133.

The Jeffs return to action Saturday, Oct. 19 to compete in the Little Three Championship at 1 p.m.
