Mike Miller, Assistant Coach
Miller enters his second season as a member of head coach Erik Nedeau’s men’s cross country and track & field staff and predominately works with the sprints and throws, while also coordinating the squads’ strength and conditioning programs. Prior to Amherst, Miller spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Springfield College, working with their jumpers, throwers and sprinters. Having also previously served as the head coach of the boys and girls teams at E. O. Smith High School in Connecticut, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Springfield in 2008. Also holding an MS in Advanced Level Coaching from his alma mater, he was one of the region's best decathletes and jumpers as an undergraduate, earning ECAC Titles in 2006 and 2007, while winning conference honors in the high jump en route to team MVP in 2008.
