Alyssa Dudzik Named to NFHCA All-America Second Team
Junior Alyssa Dudzik was named to an All-America Team for the second consecutive season.
AMHERST, MA – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced today the members of its 2007 Division III All-America teams. Seven of the 48 student-athletes named to either the First, Second or Third Team hail from the NESCAC, with junior midfielder Alyssa Dudzik (Darien, CT) representing the Amherst College Lord Jeffs on the Second Team.
In addition to earning a spot on All-NESCAC and All-New England West Region teams for the second consecutive season, Dudzik earned All-America honors for the second time in her career, as she was named to the Third Team in 2006. In 15 starts for the Jeffs this season, she tallied three goals and added a pair of assists for Amherst’s fourth highest point total (8), and was a dominant force in the midfield.
Dudzik has established herself as one of the country’s best midfielders in Division III and will hope for continued success in 2008, as she will be in the running for a spot on the All-America First Team.
