Dudzik Named All-American for Third Straight Season
Senior Alyssa Dudzik is a three-time NFHCA All-American.
This marks the final honor for Dudzik, who will graduate from Amherst this spring as one of the most decorated players in program history. She has earned praise across the sport of field hockey on the conference level (3-time NESCAC First Team selection), regional level (3-time All-New England selection) and national stage (3-time All-American).
During her time at Amherst, Dudzik has helped make the team a solid contender in the nation’s best conference. Amherst won a career-high 10 games this fall, and just missed out on an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The team’s record has improved each and every season that Dudzik has played for the Lord Jeffs as well.
Dudzik played in every game during her time at Amherst, and was always a fierce competitor. She made her contributions felt during each and every season, and only got better with time. This season she finished with a pair of goals and assists for six points, to bring her career totals to five goals, nine assists and 19 points.
Dudzik was also selected by the NFHCA to partake in the 2008 Division III Senior All-Star Game, which took place last Sunday at Ursinus College. In her four years at Amherst, Dudzik helped lead her team to a 31-29 record and three consecutive postseason appearances.
