Jeffs Finish Fourth at NESCAC Championships

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Led by Nicholas Koh ’14, the Amherst men’s golf team finished fourth at the 2014 NESCAC Championships hosted by Middlebury College.

Paced by individual champion Fitz Bowen (149-72-77), the Panthers (625-299-326) captured the conference crown with Rob Donahoe (154-72-82) and Charlie Garcia (157-75-82) also placing in the top-six. Williams College, led by Cody Semmelrock (153-75-78), who finished as the runner-up, took second overall (626-311-315), followed by Trinity (629-310-319) and Amherst (660-332-328).

Carding an 83 over the first 18 holes at the par 71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course, Koh shaved three strokes off his total to finish with a two-day 163 to tie for 12th. James Line ’16 turned in a 164 (79-85), while Josh Moser ’15 shot an 83 in the second round after posting an 84 on Saturday.

Harrison Marick ’17 took four strokes off his first round tally with an 82 on day two, while Jarvis Sill ’15 rounded out the list of Jeff competitors with a 169 (86-83).
