Jeffs Claim Second at Trinity Invitational

koh1HARTFORD, Conn. – The Amherst men’s golf team finished second overall at the Trinity Invitational with a two-round 619 (312-307). 

Josh Moser ’15 led the Jeffs and placed fifth in the field with a 151. The junior’s consistent play featured a day-one score of 75 followed by a 76 in round two Sunday. Finishing second on the team and ninth overall was Nicholas Koh ’14. Koh shot a two-round 155 (76-79).

Harrison Marick ’17, Jarvis Sill ’15 and James Line ’16 shaved three, four and six strokes off their first round scores respectively. Marick carded an 80 through the first 18 followed by a 77 in round two for a two-day 157.

Sill recorded a 158 (81-77) to finish in a tie for 16th and Line shot a 160 (83-77).

Trinity won the tournament with a two-day 606 (313-293) while Elms (633), Western New England (633) and Babson (634) rounded out the top-five performers in the nine-team field.

The Jeffs are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the two-day Duke Nelson Tournament at Middlebury College.
