Milbourn Wins at Dartmouth Invitational; Jeffs Place 10th

HANOVER, NH - The Amherst College women's golf team opened its 2007 fall slate this weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational. First-year Hayley Milbourn (Baltimore, MD) made a statement in her first collegiate tournament, shooting the lone sub-par round of the tournament with a 1-under 71 yesterday, en route to the individual crown.

Milbourn sealed the individual title with a second round 75, for a two day total of 146, just two strokes over par. Ali Bode of Harvard made a run at the young Lord Jeff, shooting a 73 this afternoon to finish 3-over for the tournament, and one shot off Milbourn's blazing pace.

Amherst recieved strong support from sophomore Kinne Schwartz (Allen, TX) who finished in 39th place with a two-day total of 27-over par.

The Jeffs return to action next weekend at Mount Holyoke College for another two day tournament.
