AMHERST, Mass. - Spencer Noon ’13 was named the NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after becoming the first student-athlete in program history to crack the 100-point plateau.

Already the school’s all-time leading goal scorer (43), Noon netted a pair of markers against Trinity last Tuesday to reach the milestone. Wasting no time getting on the board, he put away a rebound off a Max Fikke ’14 shot just 8:13 after the opening whistle.

With Amherst ahead 3-0 in the second, he headed home his eighth tally of the season to up his career point total to 102. Continuing to factor in offensively, he notched another point against Colby on Senior Day, setting up classmate Brian Morgan ’13 for what proved to be the game winner.

Recording a point in eight of the team’s games in 2012, he currently leads the conference in both points (20) and goals (8), while sitting tied for fourth in assists (4). Notching his first career hat trick in the season opener against Colby-Sawyer, Noon has posted eight multi-goal efforts in his career, including two this season.
