Noon

AMHERST, Mass. - Senior forward Spencer Noon added to his growing list of postseason accolades with a selection to the Capital One Men’s Soccer Academic All-America second team.

Joining Tufts’ Pat Bauer as the only NESCAC representatives on the first, second or third team, Noon is just one of 33 student-athletes nationwide to be honored. All-America selections were picked from a pool of first team All-District awardees across CoSIDA’s eight districts.

A two-time first team all-league pick, Noon led the conference in both points (34) and goals (14) for the third-consecutive season, while helping to lead Amherst to an unblemished 17-0-3 record and an appearance in the NCAA sectional finals.

Netting his first career hat trick in the season opener against Colby-Sawyer, the forward has nine career multi-goal games to his credit, becoming the first person in program history to surpass the 100-point plateau with a two-score effort against Trinity. Factoring into the scoring in 14 of the team’s games, he recorded a marker in 10 contests this season with seven points on three goals and an assist in three NCAA Tournament games.

Finishing his career as the program’s all-time points (117) and goals (49) leader, Noon, an American studies major, has also twice been named to the NESCAC All-Academic and CoSIDA Academic All-District squads.
