Soccer Without Borders

Former Lord Jeff Allie Horwitz ’12 recently began a year-long internship in Granada, Nicaragua with Soccer Without Borders, a non-profit organization that uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change. Helping to provide underserved communities with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion and personal success, Horwitz hopes to empower local youth through a shared love of the world’s most popular sport.

A two-time All-NESCAC honoree, Horwitz wrapped up her career as one of the most decorated goalkeepers in program history, posting a 50-13-4 overall record with 19 shutouts. Logging 5780:30 minutes in net over the course of four seasons, she finished with an impressive 0.72 goals-against average and 0.857 save percentage.
